Color Marketing Group® will present highlights from our 2020+ World Color Forecast™ which is the culmination of Color Forecasting Workshops held in 17 cities around the world in 2018. Presenters will deliver a global overview of socio-economic, sociopolitical, and emerging innovations that will impact, influence, and inspire the direction and evolution of the colors that are expressing our outlook as we enter a new decade. The presentation will highlight key color stories from North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia Pacific, and how they support product designers as they go through the product planning and development phase. There will also be an overview of the CMG color forecasting process.

Learning objectives:

  • Understand the direction colors are moving and the driving forces behind them.
  • Recognize, early on, the leading colors that have the capacity to influence and dominate certain market segments in four regions of the world: North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific. Looking at the similarities and differences across regions provides another element of understanding that is critical in today’s global market.
  • Learn about the process used to determine color directions two years in advance. Forecasters study social shifts, industry variables and consumer behavior and meet in collaborative workshops around the world to consolidate their research into directional shifts that they see happening with color. Attendees will look at how each individual member feeds into the stories at workshops that are then identified in regional steering.
  • Appreciate the importance of knowing the color directions, in advance, and the role they play in increasing an organization’s competitive edge. Examples provided of forecasted colors in action and illustration of the process of disseminating the information learned from the forecasts to elevate your organization’s color leadership.
