About

If you shared in our experience last year you’ll know it’s so much more than a live stream. Share in the future of color by participating in this collaborative and interactive experience during which we’ll reveal the latest color trends for 2023 and beyond gathered during our global virtual color forecasting events. This year our Summit will welcome even more of our members from far and wide to enter the conversation for a truly global experience.  We’ll offer topic-focused virtual networking events with luminaries in the color design field.  We’ll share insights, exchange ideas, and, above all, chat about color!

A Virtual Summit Experience

The Summit is a two-day virtual experience offering a mix of interactive networking sessions with the global color design community; multi-media presentations, and panel discussions on all things COLOR!

DAY ONE features the revelation of our 2023+ World Color Forecast™, comprising the results of our global color forecasting in-person and virtual events held in 2021.  The World Color Forecast reveals the top 64 color directions that CMG’s global color design community believes will be trending in 2023 and beyond.  The Summit will showcase presentations from our four Forecast regions including North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America, each of whom will present the top 3 Color Trend Stories with supporting color directions.   Guest Speakers include Alicia Keshishian, an award-winning design professional with more than 40 years of experience, and Rana Kadra, the Regional Colour Marketing & Creative Manager – Jotun Paints (Middle East, India & Africa).

DAY TWO highlights CMG’s President, Peggy Van Allen, presenting the overview of our Color Forecast, combining the results from all four Regional Forecasts and analyzing the hue families and their evolution from 2022 to 2023.  Guest Speakers include Doty Horn, Founding Director of ColorVoyant, a visionary color marketing consulting firm formed in early 2011, and Kole Montross a professional post-production specialist, Photoshop expert, and master printer with over 15 years of experience in the studio, lab, and agency settings. Our Panel discussion will feature a global line-up of color design experts exploring how they CREATE!

Each day will be “topped and tailed” with our CMG ColorChat™ Committee, offering you the chance to join the conversation and network with our color tribe across a multitude of topics including CMF trends, region-specific color trend information, and more!

2023+ World Color Forecast™

Every year CMG members and our global color community attend numerous ChromaZone® Color Forecasting Workshops and CMG regional Conferences, discussing consumer behavior and societal trends, and the impact these will have on color and design.

Our ChromaZone Workshops take place in advance of the annual Summit.  ChromaZone attendees, who are color experts in their field, present their color trend stories as they relate to their industry/product. During the process, we analyze thousands of colors and identify big picture trends that will influence color directions in the coming years.  The final outcome from each event is 16  color directions that participants believe will be trending two years out.  At the end of our forecasting season, our Regional Steering Committees curate all the workshop results, distilling them to a global selection of 64 color directions comprising 16 from each of our regions of North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America. The combined outcome – our World Color Forecast – is revealed annually at the International Summit.

Who Should Attend our Virtual Summit experience?

Global manufacturers, brands, and marketers understand the importance of color marketing to their bottom line. Your company will benefit from creating research-fueled and validated products in colors that sell. Daniel Beauchemin, Chelsea Frames

    Founder and CEO

Daniel Beauchemin is described as a lover of life and all things beautiful – and  he sees beauty in all things. The eternal optimist – the fighter for all that is good and right. Two things matter to him in life. His home and those in it and helping those around him through philanthropy.

“Growing up in a home where design and comforts of living as well as philanthropy were a central and daily part of life – it was easy for me to understand where my future lay – somewhere in the design world and being able to give back. I was graced with a multicultural environment from day one and was exposed to not only Canadian, American, and European culture at home – but my parent’s circle of friends spanned the globe. From an early age, my taste for all that is beautifully designed flourished.

My studies included architecture with a focus on furniture design and art history. My education expanded to art history and interiors graduating with a degree at the prestigious Academie Julien in Paris. With 10 years of experience under my belt, I was offered design positions in NYC in 1993 and eventually made the move. Strangely enough, I was introduced to the framing industry in NYC in 1993 through a friend and eventually purchased Chelsea Frames in 1995. It was to become the focus of my work and my life. By 2009 Chelsea Frames had become one of the most renowned framing studios in the USA with customers that spanned the globe. At that point in my career, an opportunity in design for the framing industry was offered to me in Europe by Larson Juhl, a Berkshire Hathaway Holding. In September 2009, my Senior Manager became my business partner, which allowed my husband and me to make the move to the Netherlands. While In Europe I became involved with CMG and it was an instant fit. After 6 ½ years in the corporate world and by 2016 the decision was made I would return to our framing studio where I can again work daily with clients, collectors, and designers. It is the focus of our life for now.  Art and color surround me.”
