This eye-opening presentation will provide an in-depth review of how contemporary color-design limits access to media, education, way-finding, safety, and careers, for persons with visual impairments, such as color blindness, low vision, and light sensitivity. And, it will explain how that can be avoided by implementing accessible and universal design methodologies. 40% of the population will experience a temporary or permanent visual impairment in their lifetime. Attendees will be introduced to tools, techniques, and case studies that can empower them to become good color-design-citizens for this population while expanding their market reach, without compromising the enrichment that color can bring to our shared experiences.
