2022+ World Color Forecast™

Every year CMG members analyze thousands of colors, attend numerous ChromaZone® Color Forecasting Workshops and CMG regional Conferences, and travel the globe in search of the next big thing. The result of all this hard work is the famed World Color Forecast™—a look at anticipated color trends from North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America. The Forecast identifies 16 colors from each region, along with the influences and inspirations that define them, and provides a wealth of color insight to color-design professionals, allowing them the opportunity to focus on the most trending colors for a specific region in a given year.

Who Should Attend?

Global manufacturers, brands, and marketers understand the importance of color marketing to their bottom line. Your company will benefit from creating research fueled and validated products in colors that sell. As a project manager, product developer, designer, manufacturer, CMF designer, color specifier, and anyone who works with color for products you won’t want to miss the important color discussions.

You do NOT need to be a member of CMG to participate in the annual Summit. If you are interested in learning more about becoming part of Color Marketing Group please visit our Membership page to learn more or contact the office.

The Benefits of Attending

At the Summit, you’ll have access to amazing events and fascinating speakers, along with plenty of opportunities to share and collaborate with other professionals across all industries—people who, like you, are constantly searching for inspiration, for what’s next in color.

2022+ WORLD COLOR FORECAST™

We’ll reveal our collection of regional forecasts from Asia Pacific, Europe, North America, and Latin America, and give you the first look at the 2022+ World Color Forecast™. You’ll come away with color cards and fan decks of these forecast colors so that you can begin to apply them into your product development workflow immediately.

• Join the latest color conversations helping you to succeed in your field and helping your company to achieve continued growth.

• You’ll network with individuals outside your specific industry, expanding your horizons and opening new areas for exploration.

• We provide an open-discussion atmosphere that will allow you to mix, mingle, and come away with lasting relationships and connections. The friends you make will form your “tribe” for years to come, and their energy and insight will prove invaluable.

• You’ll leave with newfound color revelations that will keep you, your company, and your clients well-versed in all things color.

COLOR APPLICATIONS WORKSHOPS

If you’ve been to a Summit before, you know that our workshops encapsulate the core of what the International Summit is about. Global inter-industry teams will share how colors from CMG’s newly revealed World Color Forecast™ (which includes the North American Forecast), as well as the three International Forecasts (Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America), are being applied in current design projects. It’s a tidal wave of exposure, learning, and collaboration that unites us as color professionals and makes each of us stronger.

Our Workshops have been grouped into four major overarching workshop categories: Residential, Contract, Lifestyle & Consumer, and CMF. Various workshops will be offered under these categories.

We are working on our 2020 Workshop options, but here’s what we offered in 2019:

Color, Materials, and Finishes Workshop (CMF)

The objective of this Workshop is to forecast the top 2-3 global CMF trends that will emerge in the next 2-3 years, and anticipate how they could be assimilated to any of the 64 colors from the CMG’s 2022+ World Color Forecast®. The outcome will outline 3-4 materials and finishes, and will identify the drivers influencing the trends direction. Ahead of the Summit, participants are required to prepare a homework on a pre-set template and submit it to the corresponding workshop facilitator. Industries that can benefit from this workshop include, but are not limited to: polymers, composites, biomaterials, nanomaterials, energy materials, engineered surfaces, colorant pigments, special effect pigments, special effect additives, masterbatch, injection molding, industrial design, paints, industrial coatings, ceramics, metals, films, laminates, automotive, recreational vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, wheel chairs, electronics, appliances, color products and services, etc.

Lifestyle & Consumer

Workshop participants will identify the top 12 emerging colors and driving influences within one of the following  sub-categories:

  • Fashion
  • Durable Goods
  • Non-Durable Goods
  • Visual Communications

Residential

Workshop participants will choose Home Interiors or Home Exteriors and will identify the top 12 colors that will emerge in the global residential market.

Contract

Workshop participants will choose Commercial Interiors or Commercial Exteriors and will identify the top 12 colors that will emerge in the global commercial markets.
