1997:
Headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, CMG employs eight professional staff members who administer a $1.5 million budget. CMG strengthens its marketing strategy and global reach by establishing its presence on the internet at
colormarketing.org. Over the next year, a password protected “Member Gateway” is added to the public website allowing access to a searchable Membership Directory and downloadable Report Backs. In 1998, an email ListServ is established, creating a forum for CMG members to exchange ideas and thoughts, and receive expert answers to challenging questions. The CMG website enables a larger marketing reach, and the membership grows to over 1,500 Color Design professionals.
Today, CMG members have access to an online color design community for networking and engagement, powered by Glue Up, an all-in-one engagement software tool. Similar to, but much more elegant and robust than the ListServ, on Glue Up CMG members can share ideas, link to articles, post questions, and connect directly with other members.
Members can also complete their annual renewal, register for events and view all event attendance lists. Glue up is accessible by downloading the App from the Apple Store or Google Play, as well as through any browser. If you haven’t yet set up your Glue Up profile, feel free to reach out to headquarters— it’s the best way to connect with your fellow CMG members!
