2010’s:
2016: CMG’s first virtual color forecasting event was held to determine the 2018+ Latin American Forecast. Logistical complications had made it impossible to hold a Latin American Conference that year, so the Steering Committee, seated in multiple countries, spent hours on an online WebEx meeting discussing the trends and color directions with each other, while referencing the same color books to review swatches at their desks.
Lessons learned from this early event aided in CMG’s ability to transition to entirely virtual ChromaZone forecasting events beginning in April 2020. Although virtual forecasting kept us all connected and working together during the pandemic, we were happy to return to select in-person events this past year.
