Sandra Sampson is a prominent color and design professional and the founder of Vital Color™ by Simple Modern Style, a multi-disciplinary color and design studio. Her expertise spans diverse industries, including branding, consumer goods, electronics, materials design, flooring, spaces, and health and wellness. Sandra excels at transforming consumer preferences, color trends, and market insights into captivating colors and designs while bridging the gap between color scientists and designers, driving innovation in material colors and applications.
With nineteen years of dedicated involvement with the Color Marketing Group (CMG), Sandra has held roles as Board Member, Executive Committee Member, and VP of PR and Communications. She currently serves as Vice President of Education, leading initiatives such as CMG’s bi-monthly ColorSpeak™ educational webinars, which enrich the knowledge base of CMG members.
Sandra earned a BFA from the Art Center College of Design and further honed her expertise under the guidance of Leatrice Eiseman at the Eiseman Center for Color Information & Training. She is also a Board Member of the Inter-Society Color Council and a Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA).
Beyond her professional endeavors, Sandra enjoys sailing along the Southern California coast and visiting assisted living facilities with Kitt, her Alaskan Malamute therapy pet.
