MATERIAL FOR INSPIRATION AT THIS YEAR’S SUMMIT
At the heart of everything we do lies a desire to motivate designers to use materials creatively and to place materials at the heart of the design process. In this workshop you will be challenged and encouraged to think about materials from a different perspective. You will undertake a variety of materials-based exercises, describing and exploring their color and functionality.
Chris Lefteri is an internationally recognized authority in materials and their application in design. The work of his studio and publications have been pivotal in changing the way designers and the materials industry consider materials. His books include Materials for Design and six other titles in the Materials for Inspirational Design series. Chris Lefteri Design has locations in London and Seoul and works with multiple Fortune 100 companies. His studio is widely recognized as one of the leading studios working in the field of materials & CMF. In 2018 he launched FixIts, his first materials driven brand.

COLOR BEYOND will encourage you to think about more than color, trends, and forecasts. We’ve replaced our legacy workshops with new and collaborative events designed to heighten your connections and broaden your perspective.
In our hands-on workshops you’ll explore materials and how they relate to CMG’s directional color stories and their impact in the circular economy. You’ll dive into color in the field of animation and games, exploring the impact on emotion and perspective. Our mentoring event will broaden your thinking of color in new industries as you connect and establish relationships with a global community of color design experts. And to enhance your experience, our Pre Summit events will challenge your assumptions and thinking on color!

The International Summit is being held at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Hotel & Spa, 3800 W. Starr Pass Boulevard, Tucson AZ 85745.
