CMG Swatchbook – CMG’s Color Alert® Program

2014: One of CMG’s key responsibilities is the validation of our World Color Forecast™. Across the history of CMG, this has taken different forms—including the COLORFAIR in the 1960s and a computerized Tracking Program in the 1980s. In 2014, CMG launched the Color Alert® program. The monthly email features a hue selected from that year’s forecast, predicted two years prior, and highlights how and where it is being used in the market. Primarily intended to be a form of validation, the program was also used to drive traffic to CMG’s new website, and build an email list of potential new members that could sign up to get the free mailings. We now have over one thousand color enthusiasts that signed up specifically to receive the monthly Color Alert!
