How do you apply color forecasts?
CMG’s Forecasts help me tremendously because I need to project new palettes for the future, specifically for the commercial markets such as hospitality. I apply all of the CMG color forecasts for both my new residential color specifications and commercial color specifications, as well as repaints. I also apply the forecasts to all of my CEU and lunch and learn presentations for architectural and design professionals, as well as Interior Design student presentations and vendor programs.
How do CMG’s Forecast and color information help you?
CMG is of tremendous value to me. It has brought credible information to my career and I have met such wonderful lifelong friends and business associates. I recently worked on a condominium complex which needed updating for resale and after working on a new updated color palette and palette renderings, a complete 5-color palette was accepted and the sale of the 1000 unit complex, after the repaint was complete, sold 75% of units within one weekend. It was an extreme curb appeal update which paid off very well.
About Dunn-Edwards
Dunn-Edwards has been the leading paint manufacturer in the Southwestern United States since 1925. They are committed to providing the superior products and services that our customers have come to expect.
Frank “Buddy” Dunn founded the company in 1925, not as a paint maker but as a wallpaper store in Los Angeles. The business expanded as he added a line of paints, and later (with two employees) he began manufacturing his own paints in the backroom of the company’s second store. In 1938, he partnered with his friend Arthur C. Edwards, a former painting contractor and pigment salesman, to form the Dunn-Edwards Corporation. Sales immediately improved, and a business philosophy was born: “Make the finest line of paint and give the best service at fair prices.” It’s a philosophy that endures through this day.
