A Universal Language of Colour
Communicating the Right Colour
As we design our product lines, one of the challenges is communicating our color preferences simply and accurately. You put a lot of effort into selecting the right colour because you know that it is one of the most important features in any design. But how can you ensure that your colour selections will communicate accurately from design through end product?
Simplify the selection of your perfect colour combinations and consistent colour communication by participating in the NCS Design Tool continuing education workshop at the Color Marketing Group’s International Summit coming up fast in November. Enjoy expanding your colour expertise by learning about color harmony, colours in context, the colour design process, and the ease of expressing color nuances that you will learn to accurately communicate. Also, experience the ways light affects colours, known as perceived and inherent colours. By the end of your workshop you will have all the skills you need to apply the NCS Colour Design Tools both physical and digital to your color communication workflow.

A Natural Color System
A logical colour system, NCS Colour, is built on how we see colour. Colour is a subjective visual sensation. To characterize a colour you need to describe what you see. Colour mixtures and measurement data are necessary for production, but to communicate with the customer applying a colour language system for the way people see colours accurately communicates every time. A notation represents a specific colour percept and says nothing about what pigments, lights rays or nerve signals have given rise to this perception. This makes it possible to describe the colours of all surface materials and ensure that the colours turn out exactly as you envisioned. To see how the NCS Colour system works click here.
