How is a trend started and what kind of product design will fit into the future market?
China Design Trends 2019 – 2020
These are the questions that the global design industry is constantly asking. Many world-renowned design centers regularly publish annual design trends in various fields, but are these trends fitting the Chinese consumer market? After analysis of the global trends, Yang Design follows-up with deep and through exploration of the local market (China Design Trends), effectively analyzing each consumer segmentation, and confidently proposing China’s future design trends – common across many industries, and which will lead the development of China’s design field. Yang Design researches social formation, consumption trends, and conducts design expert interviews, finalizing Chinese lifestyle forecasts and identifying four distinct macro trends. In each macro trend, Yang Design provides corresponding CMF (color, material, and finish) proposals, which will be suitable for various design fields in China.
Yang Design’s Strategic Director and Chief Editor of China Design Trends Report, Xiaojing Huang, will present these four Macro Trends at this year’s CMG 2019 Asia Pacific Conference, August 28-30, 2019, Shanghai, China.
