“Color must feel intentional to be successful”.
– Chelsea Dora, VP of Interior Design, HPA Design Group
Our Member Spotlight is on Chelsea Dora, VP of Interior Design with HPA Design Group, a multifamily interior design group. Chelsea interacts daily with clients as they prepare to entrust a design firm with their upcoming projects.
Chelsea explains, “It is invaluable to be able to share my involvement with CMG and how that tool can be used as benefit to them in our partnership throughout the project.“
Color Inspiration
Chelsea is responsible for ensuring her team produces thoughtfully curated designs. Chelsea explains, “As a leader in the multifamily interior design world, most of our projects take 18-24 months to build. It is imperative that the color and finish selections we make will last and be on trend. CMG’s Color Forecasts validate our selections and presentations when we meet with clients and are a tool we can use in an effort to support the design direction and intent of our creative work.”
Building the Color Story
“Each time we start pulling conceptual imagery for a property, we begin with the target demographic and seek to learn the current marketplace. This influences our design decisions and direction of the overall color palette. The color story builds and evolves throughout the life cycle of the project, and while some clients can be hesitant to embrace strong, saturated colors, they fully embrace the color when the final product is delivered! Color is one of the most important features in any interior space and it must feel intentional to be successful.”
